After a long period of lockdown due to Covid-19 restrictions, Greece has opened its borders. As of May 14th, 2021, travelers can visit the country, relax, and enjoy unique and safe holidays.
Before you travel to Greece, it is important to be aware of the country’s travel requirements and restrictions.

Who is eligible to enter Greece without the need for self-quarantine on arrival?
All citizens coming from countries on the list below don’t have to self-isolate. Everyone who is a citizen or permanent resident in EU and Schengen Area countries, USA, UK, Israel, Serbia, UAE, New Zealand, Australia, South Korea, Thailand, Rwanda, Singapore, the Russian Federation, North Macedonia, Canada, Belarus, Bahrein, Qatar, China, Kuwait, Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Saudi Arabia.
What documents are required for traveling to Greece?
Passenger Locator Form
Travelers are required to complete a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) at least 24 hours before travel. Families traveling together should submit one PLF. The PLF document contains details about each traveler, such as the point of departure, any previous stays in other countries, and the address in Greece. Once travelers submit the PLF form, receive a unique QR code, which is scanned upon arrival. More information about the Passenger Locator Form here.

Valid Medical Certificates
All visitors and passengers entering the country must carry a valid medical certificate that proves they
- have been full vaccinated against Covid-19, and 14 days have elapsed
- tested positive with Covid-19 in the past 2 to 9 months, or
- have a negative PCR certificate for a Covid-19 test in the past 72 hours
Τhis test is required for all, including children after the age of five, regardless of the current epidemiological situation in the country of departure.
All certificates must contain the necessary information and be written in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, or Russian. The name on the certificates must match the name on the passport or any other recognized travel document.
